Repair & Clean

It happens. Tucked the front, front flip over the bars - you've hopefully come away without injury but the suit didn't fare so well. But it's done it's job so we can't be too mad. And thankfully, most of the time they can be fixed.

Hands up - I'm not a professional leather seamstress. For full-on rips and damage to the structural integrity of the suit, take it to the manufacturer or a professional leather repairer. But, I have repaired suits for BMCRC racers who've had small holes from a slide, small rips along a non-essential seam etc - with a far better method than the usual (gaffa tape).

I use leather patches layered both inside and out for maximum security, fixed with an ultra-strong adhesive. Then of course, painted to match the suit's design. All repairs will need to be assessed prior to work starting to ensure they are suitable for this type of fix.
